I am getting the EX-400. I just want to know if it is comfortable to play also while sitting.

Should be just dandy to sit down with but just for future reference questions about the actual guitar itself belong in the guitar section and then stuff about amps, pedals, pickups(aka gear), and recording equipment and/or methods belong in gear and recording. Thanks man. Have fun with the new ax when you get your hands on it.

Nigga please, explorers are amongst the easiest of body styles getting used to I've played. There are no annoying ass contours in your way, and you don't have to lay your arm onto the body to reach the bridge. To me they feel like I'm not even holding playing a guitar, I play them extremely relaxed. Explorers/Kellys are comfiest for me, but of course a kelly was my first electric so naturally I think this way.

Hehe, hes right. Everything you described about the Explorer is the same with a Dinky/Soloist style body.

Anyway, you should play the guitar before buying it. Always. Because you never know what goes on at the factory, and every guitar is different in some way. I played 4 DXMG's. I liked the first one, didnt care for the second, liked the 3rd, and now im bying the 4th. ALL THE SAME MODEL. (Exept the 3rd is gun metal grey.)

That should be stickied. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people snag the most expensive guitar off of musicians friend or sweetwater, only to find that the guitar is nothing what they thought or wanted in a guitar.
