Iv'e just bought a Peavey Valveking Head and need a Quadbox for it. Whats the best box. Are Marshall 1960A's really that good? What speakers are the best for metal? G12T-75, greenbacks or vintage.

Here is a list to look into,if money is no issue
-Vader
-ENGL
-Framus
-Bogner
-VHT
-Mesa
-Avatar**
-GenzBenz

Mesa

He wants $1000 Australian. 1 owner with inspection tags from mesa still on it. Looks in good condition but i'm weary of paying $1000 for something 2nd hand off of ebay. I think i might stick with the Marshall 1960a 4x12, coz it's brand new and only $300 more from a reliable dealer.
My guitarists has a JCM 900 SLX which has lot of clarity but not enough bottom end for me thats why i got the peavey head.
Which speakers in the marshall will be better for the low end? I don't know nothing about greenbacks or vintage or G12T or how they are voiced?
I really like the Carcass Heartwork type of tone.

Whoa, not enough bottom end in a JCM 900? I think Morbid Angel have a massive bottom end and they use the 900. It's all in the EQ. But hell, a JCM 900 + a closed back cab with warmer speakers(ie: not vintage 30's, go check out Avatar cabinets and their info on speakers) would probably give you what you want.

The Carcass tone... I think you'll probably want the Peavey if you want a sterile compressed tone, but I'm sure the JCM 900 can do that plus a lot more. Just my opinion. I'm a JCM 2000 fanboy.
