Removing trem pivot screw shafts...

How the hell would you do this? Has anyone done this before? I just wanna use the trem pivot screws + shafts from my OFR rather than the ones from the licensed trem that was originally on my guitar. It still works fine but I just want to use the OFR ones(cause they're sturdier inside the shaft and are brand new). I figured sticking something in the shaft to pry it out like a coat hanger but that didn't work... Any ideas? It's a simple procedure so I don't want to pay some "professional" to do it, I just don't know what tools to use.

Would I have to chip the wood around the border of the shaft so I can get some pliers in ther and yank it out?

theyre not easy to get out.
they're not really intended to be taken out- small holes with them hammered and glued in.
try some pliers or a tech?

Damn that sucks. Guess I'll do the plier thing, it just probably means I'm going to have to chip the border of it so I can actually grab the shaft enough to yank it. Fitting the other one in their is not a problem. It's a shame there's no screw at the bottom of the shaft that holds it inside the body, making it easy to remove.

I won't do it until my current pivot screws wear out to the point where the tuning isn't stable. Thanks for the help.

If anyone knows an easier method do let me know.

I need to get the shafts from a tuneomatic out, and after doing some research, it looks like pliers are the only way.

One useful thing, if you can get a soldering iron down the shaft, you can heat it up to melt the glue, and then pull out the hot shaft.

I have never tried it, but some guy on the internet said thats what he always did with tuneomatics...
