Amp is being gay...
This is something I have noticed for a while but haven't really payed much attention too. If I use my amp after using unplugging the headphone jack or effects loop in/out for a while I get weird volume fluctuations. Like the sound fades away to something daint then comes back and forth til it comes back. Only happens if I recently disconnected something from my effects loop or headphone jack. Weird as fuck, but the amp still works fine.
It's a solid state btw, and it's a pretty good maker(Tech 21). Maybe the jacks inside the amp are a little flimsy? Also, it does not hurt to mention that my amp took an upside down fall from about 4 feet. But I've had this issue for a while.
Another thing that's not really related, I have EMG's and supposedly they're supposed to be silent, but my guitar with an X2N -using no noisegate- does not hum nearly half as much as my EMG 81 - 85 guitar does. Lame.

I guess the humming could be maybe also from other factors, like the amp's dist. and shit like that. On my 5150, it hums like hell w/ the Effects loop on.

+1. Not in a week, but soon.
It only happens with high gain, and especially with my EMG-81-85 axe. No idea why. I got a NS2 so that helps, but so much humming must not be normal.

God damn that is possible. But I've gotten the volume fluctuations with passives before, so I know it's an amp problem. Still, thanks for suggesting that though, not sure how old the battery is but I'm gonna swap it. I'll be selling the EMGs anyway but I want to have some more fun with them first. Besides I have to wait til my bro has some time to solder the whole passive set + new electronics I have for it. :P
