amp settings?

hi. i'm a new guitarist, playing for about a few months and was wondering what some good metal sounding amp settings would be good for a SPIDER 2 212 amp? i'm not all too sure what each knob does, so i was wondering if any of you could help me out =)

You can do much better for the money they cost

put it on a higer gain model like recto or insane, turn the gain up to liking... turn the eq knobs to taste. it's not that hard, and spider amps don't have very responsive eq's.

for a beginner and someone who is just using it for practice, it is a decent amp. it can get some high gain tones but i mean its not that amazing. its better than the amp i started out using..

The 2x12 one's aren't bad at all compared to the smaller ones. I dunno why but when I tried it, it sounded more ballsy and just overall better. We can't just tell you what's good unless you tell us what you're going for.
