Wah Interference

I just bought a wah pedal (A cheapy one, its a start though)
Anyway, when push down on it and there isnt a note being played, it picks up radio station interferrance...

Anyone know what causes this or a way to fix it?

I gotta get another lead, maybe when im running it through my effects unit it will cut it out... Hopefully.

Wah pedals will boost specific frequencies ( that is what they are designed to do ), depending on where you have the pedal positioned; when turned on. It is best to only have them turned on when you are actually playing and are using the wah. Good cable and noise reduction pedals ( I suggest ISP ) will help fix your problem even when recording and playing live.

As far as other radio stations coming into the signal... well... it happens but a good noise reduction and EQ configuration will kill that problem easy.

Buy a NS2 or other noise reducer. Or you could just send that local radio station a mailbomb.

Haha ok thanks guys. Im hoping that when I run it through my effects pedal it should cut some of the noise out, it seems to do it to an extent just with the amp.
I was just making sure its a normal thing and that there wasnt something i could tweak inside.

Cheers
