What Bands for what time?
I was wondering what time of day/what day do you liste to what band.
Psycropstic seems to be my late night band
Opeth's calm stuff is good for walking home or sleeping.
Cryptopsy for pre jamming music
Death for when I say "I dont know what to listen to"
Mangled(the Danish one I think) for when Death is not availible
Cannibal Corpse when Im getting hiped up for something. I like screaming the vocal lines like Time to Kill is Now, and Skull Full of Maggots.
Pantera for getting stoned or drunk or when in a funky mood.
Slayer when speed is of the essence and I want to go crazy.
How about you?

I usually listen to tech DM if im walking somewhere. Usually spawn of possession, visceral bleeding or Necrophagist.
Recently I have been listening to classical music when I sleep, but it varies alot, I can sleep to any good music, last night it was none so vile.
I tend to listen to similar stuff for a few days and then change, it isnt really related to time of day.

driving - dm with breakdowns or good vocals (suffocation, necrophagist, immolation, malevolent creation)
lifting - brutal dm (emeth, disgorge, gorguts, devourment)
cardio - melodic metal (bodom, amon amarth, dragonforce)
late night - folk metal (almost every weekend i fall asleep to track two on Moonsorrow's verisakeet album, its brilliant)
early night - whatever i feel like
morning - something a little lighter

Isn't it disrespectful to the music to fall asleep while listening to it?

thats weird, I listen to None So Vile alot when going to sleep. Recently it's been Joe Satriani's Surfing With the Alien that I've been sleeping to recently.
It's weird, I don't seem to have a specific time or place when listening to stuff.

Morning-Kreator, Rigor Mortis, Slayer, Megadeh, ect
At School-Fuck...I'm Dead, Machetazo, Birdflesh, Repulsion, Cliteater ect
Walking Home-Rompeprop, Bile, CBT, ect
At home-Anything I want. Depends on what mood I am in. It can go anywhere from Frightmare to Wormed to Kreator to Steve Vai.
Just before bed-A lot of classical stuff mostly from horror movies. Recently I have been listening to a lot of old time radio programs from the 30s,40s, 50s (again mostly horror/sci-fi/mystery).

Hate Eternal - Pretty much any time
Early Morbid Angel - At home during mid-day
Later Morbid Angel - While walking to school, the gym etc
Origin - Same as above
Deeds Of Flesh - Whenever Im tired
Thats all I`ve ever really thought of, most bands can be good or bad to listen to any time, it changes every day.

Music that puts you to sleep is different than music you enjoy to fall asleep to. And some people enjoy sleeping to music, others don't. Some kind of Pavlov thing, though, I think.
I don't really have a set mood or time for music.
Except driving. I like more upbeat, rock-based stuff when I'm driving. The Greater of Two Evils is some of the best driving music, to me, though I have to watch my ass when 'Metal Thrashing Mad' comes on. Clutch, Down, CoC, et al are all in this category. On the flip side of driving, I find that Pink Floyd is great for when it's night and you're feeling mellow, especially songs like 'Echoes,' 'Dogs' (actually any of the big songs off Animals), and both 'Shine on You Crazy Diamond's.
And I guess the music I most enjoy seeing live is jazz, at least at the South Side Chicago jazz clubs where each show is like building a sand sculpture the waves will wash away soon after you've finished. But I'm not really sure how relevant that was to the question.

No, I used to drugs. But then I went to rehab because they were screwing my life up. Those are just the bands I would listen to if I was on drugs.

for me its not really about time of day, except for volume, which is usually low in the morning.
sad or doing homework-Summoning
raining-Mithotyn or Finntroll
storming-Dimmu(stormblast ) or Mirrorthrone
cold-Old man's child (pagan prosperity) Wintersun, or Norther
driving in car at night-In flames
twilight-Cradle of filth, Cadacross, Nokturnal mortum(goat horns)
feeling heroic-Nazgul, Ancient rites
beach daytime-Nile
beach nighttime-...And oceans, hah, or Graveworm
mad-The Crown
stoned/smoking-Falkenbach or Ensiferum
drunk/drinking-Moonsorrow or Einhejer
alright im stopping here... it feels like im saying these are the only times i listen to them, probably cause i started going off in another direction towards the end. most of these were brought upon simply by doing it once and remembering/liking it.
