Marshall AVT150H
Yeah i know there must be like 10000 threads like this but i couldn't find anything when i searched, so, i have a questions:
Is AVT150H any good for hardrock/metal(any kind of it except nu)?
If there is a thread like this just answer my question and delete the thread.

"The core of a fabulous stage rig. The AVT150H is the head version of the AVT150 and boasts all the same features and facilities as its combo brother. This includes the tube pre-amp and excellent 'Scoop' facility. On Overdrive1 this radically scoops the mid frequencies while tightening the bass for aggressive driving rhythm sounds. On Overdrive 2 the middle is again dipped, but a cut in the upper frequencies smoothes out the sound for a more bass heavy ('Nu') Metal selection."

I have an AVT50 combo.
With an equalizer, it was pretty good.
I was thinking about the 150h because of the wattage.
For $700, though, there are MUCH better things for your money.

I already got a combo, the thing i'm looking for is a head and cab. 5150 is a good option but here where i live we haven't got any of that. So...just gimme som examples of good heads and cabs with a total (head and cab togheter) sum of about 1000 dollars(or 10000 swedish kronor if someody knows how to count with them).

blue voodoo with a 4x12 can be had for 1000 or less
5150 if your lucky, peavey ultra, for solid state theres the shockwave, everyonce in a while you can find a marshall something or other that look sbad on the outside but still works great. all those with a good deal on a 4x12 can be had for <1000 all together. for great deals on brand new extremely affordable cabs go to www.avatarspeakers.com

Well, that'd be my suggestion, but Avatar doesn't ship to Sweden.
Blue Voodoo 120. you can find them sporadically cheap on Ebay for about $300-500 USD. Can't promise anything, but thats an option. Don't buy Marshall, thats all I have to say.

Even tube, IMO.
For the price there are better things.
I can't say from experience, never having played on a Tube Marshall.

My experience with hybrid marshalls was good. But Even though there are SO MANY bands that use marshall and sounds pretty damn good, wheni went to the store i could not find the sound what so EVER from the few marshalls i tried out. The guy there brought me over to the Crate bvh300, and then we were in buisness. Granted a 1700 dollar head is out of your price range, but the cheaper versions of the blue voodoo i would recommend. Does mesa boogie have any heads for about 700?

That's funny, in a local store, in the amp try-out room, there was a bv300 and a marshall dsl100 right beside it, both me and my friend thought the bv300 sucked big time (seriously, this was not a good sounding amp) while the dsl100 was damn heavy

You've got to crank the things for them to open up, especially with that thing being 300 watts.
At a local shop they have a Genz Benz El Diablo 100 watt head and a Peavey Penta ... I could not get a decent sound out of them whatsoever. But then again, at volume 1 the store clerks start telling me to turn down.

You'd think that, but that is definately not my experience with it.
And i tried the Jcm2000, and the Dsl100. The distortion was barely there and it sounded muddy as fuck. Thats what was killing me the entire time i played those amps. I couldn't believe it. But then again, shit they could probably have used tube changes or something. But those amps just had way too much of a muddy sound. With the crate i could Cut dial in just the right freqs.
The bvh300 also requires some serious playing with the eq to get the certain sound that you want. The guy at the store was controling the knobs for me while i played,a nd i was sold over the ability to literally change into almost any metal sound.
But hey people have different opinions,a nd i don't know why people say that you have to play this amp really loud to get it to sound good. I thought the same thing and said it to the guy, but thats hardly the case.
Imo.
actually quick note that i just thought about, the sound i was getting from the marshall wasn't even it anyways. I wanted basically like a mesa boogiesish distortion. Kind of like.... iced earth in a way... But not.

Oh believe me I cranked both over 50%, it was a sound isolated amp tryout room
I fiddled with both amps for about 15 mins each before moving on to the diezels, and the bv300 didn't have any 'muscle' to it even tho I fiddled with the controls, it had damn lot of controls however which was cool but still it was a weak amp

Muscle? hahah i"M not trying to get into a back and forth arguement but i'm curious but what you meant not having muscle. That amp puts out the craziest amounts of lows. Like the lowest i've ever heard on a guitar amp. On the left hand side it has a High Highs eq and a low lows eq. (if that makes sense). It actually puts out too much bass for me.
If thats what you mean by muscle. If i'm not mistaking there are professional bands that use this guitar amp as their bass amp.
