jesus christ i see that name and i have to mention this. i know i must've talked about this before either here or at atmetal but anyway. when i was pretty young and at the airport meeting my grandparents, stryper was there. me and my parents walked past the gate they were waiting at for whatever reason and they literally begged us to take an autographed record of theirs. so anyways, they took out one of their records from a suitcase and all the bandmembers autographed it and gave it to me.

i would have to say Morbid Angel - they still capitivate me and they are amazing live, one of the best deathmetal acts I have seen. Every solo was played perfectly, not a beat was missed.

Dude, I said Slayer's old stuff was sorta satanistic. It's just, did you check anything they did since 1990? Cause, after that, there's pretty much one satan song on there and the rest isnt. i dont think there is really such thing of a best metal, or best any band, really. i just read this entire thread and there were alot of great bands and to each ones own they are all the greatest metal bands. but hey, to hell with philosophical views, i'll just go along with it and the best metal band would ofcourse, without a doubt be my favourite band, because obviously, they have to be the best if they are my favourite, my favourite band isn't gonna be a 2nd rate band now is it?
