that guy isnt anything special. i can do that but it is a cool video and makes me want to play more so when im on cam i dont look lame and look like a drummer who does know what the hell hes doing

Maybe I've gotten a bit spoiled listening to Derek Roddy a lot lately, but I found that kind of boring and repetitive. He certainly didn't use very many drum fills. It probably goes fine with the song, but it being videotaped alone, I would think something more elaborate would have been a better choice...

Bull fucking shit Raymond Herrera isn't anything special. One of the cleanest playing drummers out there today. The vid was cool, but that's definitly not all he's capable of doing. That guy is insane.

I'm pretty sure he video taped the recording of every song on the record, this just happens to be one that someone put on youtube. I'm sure it does sound alot better on the actual song.

spot on. he just kept doing the same damn thing ovre and over but just changing what toms or cymbal he would hit

I wouldn't say its huuuuggee. I can hear it but it's not bad at all. He is playing pretty heavily the whole song, he can't keep that power when he's doing the blasts. He looks so much like Thomas from Meshuggah.

It's Fear Factory, they rely on rhythm and groove. Basic song structures, nothing technical. So watching this video would be like watching the tracking of a new In Flames song on drums. Totally different than a solo.
