Cheap multi-track recorders...
I'm looking to buy a multi-track recorder that is easy to use but is very powerful(featurewise, meaning you can fuck around with the EQing and other shit).
Something cheap that'll give me good recording quality. I don't need a friggin recording studio, just something between 100$-200 preferably less. Digital is preferred, but is it a bad idea to use tape recorders? They're way cheaper.
The reason I'm looking for one is cause I need to get good sound quality recordings without micing, I need silent recording. Hooking up the output directly from my amp into my comp sounds like ASS.
Apparently it's hard to find the recorders in the price range I'm looking for. Do you think it would be a better idea to get a Line6 toneport and record my amp into that? I hear the sound quality is decent. Also has an XLR input(for mics), but I believe that can also be used to get really good sound quality out of XLR-compatible preamps right? If so I'll grab one as soon as I find one cheap on ebay.
Thanks.
