Anyone know how to play Opeth - Dirge For November?
Im learning it now, I just wanted to get some tips/techniques for the fingerpicking and whatnot.
Taken from other forum:

Well I just started. And since im loving these acoustic interlude type things (Just got done with Patterns In The Ivy) I decided to learn this. Im only learning the acoustic parts, the beggining and end. So Im not really having trouble yet I'ts just that Im not too familiar with fingerpicking. Do I even have to fingerpick it?

jsut practice it while listening to the song. its kinda tough at first, but now its pretty easy after a little bit of practice.
sidenote:i just got the boss rc-20xl which allows me to play both parts, pretty sweet.

Hmmm, cool. I just looked up that Boss thing and it looks very appealing. Would you reccomend me splurging for it? Like I just like to mess around but I'd like to start recording and whatnot. Is there something I could get like that plus more? Btw my equipment.
-Ibanez RG1570 Prestige (NICE!)
-Line 6 Spider II (I know not big fans on this board)
-Dean Acoustic Guitar (Might be looking for a new one, its nice but no cutaway and not electric)

that pedal is awesome, and since it is a boss, you know it is built like a tank. it is a little on the expensive side, however it has a lot of awesome uses.
First, you can actually hear yourself which really improves your playing.
Also, layering is really cool, and it allows for one person to harmonize guitar solos, ect.
There is a metrenome which many guitarist swear by. i, myself, dont use it too often.
Finally, you can play things you recorded in reverse. this is FUCKIN AWESOME!!! i really enjoy messin around with things in reverse.
if you can afford it, go for it. what do u got to lose?
