Psycroptic's sound
Im in love with the guitar tone in symbols of failure. So clear, you hear every single note. Anyone know what gear they used.

He also has a custom built guitar.
You can probably find info on their site, or email them.

When I saw them a few months back the guitarist was using a Line 6 of some sort, i'm not too clued up on line 6 gear. I didn't see any effects or rack gear whatsoever, it was his guitar, a lead and a funky line 6 with purple/yellow neon lights on it.

The line six was probably one of the other bands amps

The hd 147 has the purple neon thing going on. The hd 147 is a good amp imo. I borrowed one from a friend of mine a while a go. I could dial in tons of sounds I liked. It's just way overpriced

The gig was at the Coolangatta Hotel on the Gold Coast.
The other bands each had what i'm pretty sure was their own amps the first being a marshall, the next band used an ENGL powerball, the next a 5150 and Psycroptic used the Line 6.

I think he's using his marshall jcm900 head as a poweramp for his mesa pre amp or something. Don't quote me on that I may be wrong.
