i thought this was pretty cool!!!

ok...

i was jamming in my friends basment last weekend... and we decided to make a full stack using my line6 guitar cab and his beringer bass cab.
normally, my line6 cab sounds like complete shit..... muddy, lots of unwanted feedback..... and its a stereo cab. his bass cab isnt a stereo cab.. so i plugged my amp into half of my cab and all of his cab, exepcting it to sound like asscrack. but to my suprise, it sounded amazingly clear, thick and warm... and no feedback whatsoever (unless i wanted it).

just felt like sharing is all... im bored.

actually... it sounded alot clearer than it does with just my line6 cab.... the line6 cab is really, really muddy on high volumes.... you cant even really make out what is being played. so when i hooked a bass cab to it i was really suprised that it sounded good!

oh yeah, i almost forgot to mention this...

yesterday my spider2 head blew up...... for no reason at all.... so i now have no amp. it started making a loud humming sound, i thought maybe one of my cables just died or something, so i unhooked the cable and the noise didnt stop..... so then i looked up and there was smoke poring out of my amp in every direction.. and now its dead. i still have no idea what caused it!

its an impedance problem... the speaker cables they give you with it are aweful... and the poweramp is comparable shit stacked 4 inches high... which doesnt help.

Mine hasnt exploded yet, the left side just gets fuzzy hissy and then pops a bunch... the only way i've found to fix it is to give it a good whack. Give yours a good whack, see what happens.

You shouldnt be able to get that under warranty if you mismatched the resistance.

well what kind of warranty are we talking about? does he have like the guitar center gold coverage or is it manufacturer's warranty? because usually manufacturer's warranty is only good if the amp is defective, not user inflicted.

you could try and there may be a different reason for the smoke, ut chances are you'd be fucked. just be glad it's only a cheapo line6
