Weird amp problem

I get this weird problem on my Blue Voodoo 60. When I turn on the power switch, the power light goes on and the tubes light up for a second, then they fade away. It usually takes me around 5 tries of either pressing down on the power switch and/or flipping the power switch until the tube lights go and I can switch on the stanby and be ready to play.

It sounds like an easy enough niggle, so how do I fix it?

Sounds like to me that you've got either:
a) a faulty power switch
b) loose connection to the switch

The latter is easier to solve obviously because replacing the switch is more hassle. Open her up and have a peek at the wires going to the power switch. If you've got a multimeter, use that to see if you're getting a dodgy connection. JUST REMEMBER NOT TO HAVE IT PLUGGED IN*!

*unless death is your bag

edit: Due to the age of your amp (fairly old), i reckon that a) is the culprit here

Great, cheers Ollie. I'll have a look inside when I'm motivated to take it apart.
