FRET BUZZ LIKE A FUCKING SLUT!
Well my friends, this is a long fucking story, but ill try my best.
One day i had buzz on my 6th fret (low e), then i looked down at the neck, and i had to tighten it. i did, and also adjusted my floyd to make sure all was grand!
the next day i picked up my guitar and low and behold, i have massive fret buzz. i tried to fix it as best as i could, took it to a friend who knows hos shit, and him and i did EVERYTHING! put a little paper under my locking nut to raise it, raised and lowerd my posts, EVERYTHING.
now as it stands i have a straight neck, a little buz from 3rd fret, MASSIVE buz on the 6th and 7th fret, and wee bits of buzz as i go on.
i am tuned to D (DGCFAd) use .10's, and have 3 springs on my floyd.
I NEED HELP!!!

might be the actual fret is too high for some reason, if youve done everything else you could try to file down the fret a bit. 1500 grit sand paper polishes metal - use that.

I wouldn't recommend filing yet unless your getting some fret choking.

When I took it to my friends place, we took off my WHOLE nut... then we added a little bit of paper to fit under it (his washburn culprit was having the same issue and him doing ot fixed it) so we restrung it, and everything... NOTHING. Then we added more paper... NOTHING... then more, and so on. we got a bit under there to boost it up, but it didn;t do a damn thing.

This is definately not a neck or nut/bridge problem. Sounds like you either wore your frets down, or a fret lifted out of it's slot higher up the neck. Check the frets and see if any of them have a space between the bottom of the fret and the fret board.

I had the same problem as you. When I took my guitar to a guitar specialist I realized that some of my frets are higher than other frets. So he sanded the frets all even height. Than my guitar sounded better. Check the frets, maybe that is the reason to your problem.

Get something with a straight edge about 2" long or so (credit card etc.), and rest it along the first 3 frets, and see if you can wiggle the ends up and down. Repeat all the way up the neck. The straight edge shouldn't wiggle at all, as all the frets should be the same height, so if there is even a little bit of play there, you should take it to a tech who'll fret dress it for you, i did it for my jackson- i thought it was the nut too, but it wasn't

it was only buzzing in one spot before you Tightened it, then it started buzzing everywhere. Your problem was not having enough relief, then you Tightened it and made it worse. The next day when it was all worse was just the next finishing adjusting to the tightening you did.
You may have a slightly high, or low, fret somewhere in there. But your main problem was tightening it when you should have loosened it.

fret buzz
fret buzz can actually be good in some respects like on the eb5 power chord. if you do it right then you get this phase shift sondin thing that goes down if you hit it really hard. that's what i do any way. anyway, listen to these guys man they seem to know what thier talking about.

Exactly what I was going to say. If you suspect that the buzzing is because the strings are too low, LOOSEN the truss rod(turn it counter clockwise). This makes the neck allow to be pulled forward more by the strings(raising the action, which then you can fix at the bridge)

I am no expert, but maybe you should go for a higher gauge string thickness. That may help eliminate tuning problems a little more, and less fret buzz.

No way dude. Bigger strings is not a good idea for that problem. More tension=more buzz.
Also, my nut has been worn down from playing on huge guages. I just put a bit of Hot Glue in there. Fixed.
