lefty/ left handed explorer / imperial / destroyer ...
Hi, I am from Hamburg Germany and looking for a lefthand explorer shaped guitar. I know that Ran guitars offers such a guitar for a moderate price ( about 1000 € inc. shipment and case I think) but I would like to test, if I get along with the shape before I spent so much money. A friend of mine owns a Ibanez Destroyer and he said that it was very hard to get used to it. So does anyone know, where I can obtain such a guitar??? Kramer offered left-handed explorers (called "Imperial") but they are discontinued since a few years I think. This guitar has the nice advantage, that you can sell it via ebay without being sued by Gibson (they own Kramer) for violating their rights. I dont thnk that RAN pays royalties to Gibson.
Any help welcome!!!!

Woah, looking for some info on/places to buy Kramer Imperials I think I came up with 2 German sites selling leftys. I don't remember the sites though, sorry. Try checking all of the musical instrument sites in Germany you can find.
Explorer styles for me are the easiest to play, my first guitar was a Jackson Kelly so that's probably why. Pretty comfortable for fast playing because of the way you rest you forearm on a small part of the body. It's a guitar for lazy folks like me, cause you can play as relaxed as you want and still be able to play very well. Try calling all your local guitar shops and ask them if they have any Explorers, Imperials, Kellys, or Destroyers for lefties. At least 1 must have something that you can try out.
Doesn't ESP make lefty explorers?
Tom Angelripper of Sodom plays a Destroyer bass. Deutsche thrash metal for the win.

Yeah, I spent a few months finding my next lefty, which I decided should have seven strings. Then I found the Schecter C-7. Then the next few months finding a UK distributor. Then the next few months waiting for it's arrival. But now, I have had it for about a month!
Next, it's a lefty Ironbird!

there are a few but they usually carry shitty low end models or carry more rock style guitars (fender, gibson, etc.)
