Need picking help, fast!
I have a HUGE problem. I can't tremelo pick the right way when i'm standing up. When i sit down, i'm fine, but when i stand up, i can't get any grip and i just start ''thumb twiggiling'' or what's it called. Any help?

Try shortening the guitar strap so the guitar is higher up on your body. THis will make it closer to how you would be playing if sitting down.

Yup shorter guitar strap, and start practising while standing. If you only play while your sitting down, thats the only way your gonna be able to play.

True.
If you find out you can only play your axe at chest height while standing, slowly learn to play it lower and lower til you find a comfortable position. You'll eventually find the place where you need the minimum effort to pick well. Look for the height and angle in which you're not straining any muscles while playing fast.

Thats never a good technique, unless your over at your girlfriends late at night, wearing substantially less clothes than normal.

Try practising with the guitar on your left leg, not your right leg. This is alot more similar to the position it'll be in, or should be in, when you are standing. When you play it on your right leg and you're all hunched over it, you can play 10 times "better" but in reality, it doesn't help as much as playing it on the leg left. And it improve your ability to play while standing.

Yeah wise words. I switched to that style after having RSI and that kind of shite-related-guitar-playing-preventing-wastes-of-time. Also your spine and torso won't be twisted so it can be more comfortbale, especially if you have a big hunky axe like a LP
If you really want to learn, buy a ridiculous shaped axe that can't be played sitting

first of all stop playing sitting down all the time
youve just developed a bad habit , the more you play standing up the easier it gets..
just tremelo pick standing up from now on and youll get it.
