Destination
Sort of a folksy feel to this one. Thanks for reading.
"Destination"
I was sitting at the station
Watching people passing by
And they just didn't seem to have a rhyme or reason
For where they were going or what they'd done
I watched as the bluejeans walked by
And the suit and tie
Wondering what purpose their trip was for
Which direction was their destination
(chorus)
Where is heaven and is there hell?
Give me a trumpet and a small tin cup
I'll buy my way into the one where I want to go
If you want to go, you have to do it on your own
If you want to go, too, you have to do it on your own
And the bird whistled "Michael, Row the Boat Ashore"
As I looked on at the steady train
Like a vision God might have
As He watched those made in His image pass by
(chorus)
Where is heaven and is there hell?
Give me a trumpet and a small tin cup
I'll buy my way into the one where I want to go
If you want to go you have to do it on your own
If you want to go, too, you have to do it on your own
I rose up from the bench where I sat
And found myself one of the numbers
That blended in with the masses
As they kept walking on their way
And I turned my eyes briefly to a stair I passed
And noticed a boy sitting there watching the people
Watching the people as they walked past
And he was wondering their destinations and what they'd done

I like this one. This definately brings out just one of many questions people ask on a daily basis. Alot of songs that i've written are sorta like this. In the sense that they ask the common questions of "why we are here" kinda thing, and our purpose.
I like the simplicty.
Good

This actually gave me some ideas for a new piece i wanted to start. Hopefully this will go to one of my newer songs that i have brewing up. I usually do a pretty good job of conception of music. Getting the drums down. And recording it and creating of lyrics and putting it up on my myspace page. I need some lyrics for this new song i have. But i'm not sure what i'm gonna do for it. Song is complete but no lyrics.
Ok that was a tangent but anyways. Something new comin probably the end of tonight!

Always happy to know I've inspired. That's cool.
