I doubt anyone has listened to the band Portal.

Here is a review of the CD I have.

He refers to them being like Gorgust or Immo but I wouldn't exactly say that.
This review pretty much captures Portal at it's best and I can't really put it in better words. BUT I can try.

So Portal is essentially technical death metal. Very technical. But because of production and simply how fast these guys play most of it gets lost sadly. The production isn't OVERLY bad but I can still bet most of you will dismiss it as noise. Take a look at the tracks 'Transcending a Mere Multiverse' for some tap riffing crazy fucking twisty turny no holds barred speed shit. It's easily obtainable on Soulseek.

The vocals are black death, monotone, I enjoy them. Nothing special though.

The drums are really cool IMO cause they are like blasting heaps until they stop and he smashes the cymbals out making a wall of noise.

They are a really odd and unique band and if this sounds like your stuff do yourselves a favour!

So to anyone that HAS heard them, what do you think?

Man it's been a while since Portal have made a blip on the radar, so if you are Illogium/Knowmad or are in the band or are in on some info from the band whats going on with it? when can we hear more material and when are you guys gonnea get on a fucken good label and produce a decent record. I mean seepia was great but cmon, the production and it was a little short considering the 2 instrumentals or whatever.

We satisfy ourselves of an albums content first... this is the first complaint we've heard about length.
Production has nothing to do with label, however I'm sure our next album will sound much better, we dont want it clean, what's your ideal production? I guess our tastes are much nastier than most.
If all goes to plan the trax will be laid down in January, some more drums need to be written... this is being done between 2 states.
