Weird thing.

Hey, when I play on my Behringer Strat copy and I stop abruptly, theres this weird "fawang fawang fawang" noise that comes from my guitar. Its not my reverb (it happens when its off and its unplugged) so what could it be?

PS: Not sure if this changes the situation or not but I have the bridge (strat style) sitting right on the body. (because it sucks and can hardly move anyway)

Thanks for the help.

Its the springs in the back of the guitar vibrating. Steve vai stuffs the backplate with tissue paper to cut down the noise.

My shitty guitar does that but only on certain notes in D tuning. Just like my room shakes only when I play F# on my bass (plugged in of course). How morbid.

This is called "resonance"

If you get a powerful enough amp, you might be able to demolish your room with one deadly F#

yeah. i just have some spongey foam in my guitars spring cavity. It doesn't affect the springs, but it shuts them up.
