What guitar is this?
http://gallery.metal-district.de/da...reator%2019.JPG
What Jackson model is that specifically? It has a Floyd but I don't think that's actually USA Jackson KV-2. What other Jackson King V's come with a Floyd Rose(licensed or OFR)? Do any import KV's come with Floyds or only USA Jacksons? All the imports I've been able to find info on are the KVX10 and JS30, both fixed bridge.

Its a KV2, if you look closely you can see writing after the Jackson logo. It would say "Made in the USA". Most imports would either have nothing there or Professional in larger lettering. If it is a Stars model, the lettering would again be larger.

Yeah man KV2. They are fucking expensive as fuck. Like $2000+. I have one. It's probably the best guitar I own. I never knew Mille had an EMG in his King V. I always saw him with Seymor Duncans.

Mille is badass
He used to use Mockingbirds in the mid 1980's and RR1's in the late 80's, but I think he only uses those KV's now.

Damn, I love KV-2's but USA Jacksons are nowhere near my price range. Fuck man... for 1040 Euros I can get a Ran Invader like the old one Peter from Vader used(very basic, Schaller Floyd, locking tuners, alder body, all black and one bridge PU). Throw in like 700 to make up for the exchange rate, shipping, and customs and I can still get a Ran for less than a USA Jackson... pfft.
Yeah I saw Mille using that same one when I saw them last year with Vader in NYC. Didn't catch them last month with Napalm Death though, a shame but I've already seen both live...
Glad to see more thrash fans that aren't strictly Slayer fans on the boards. MetalThrashingMad, thx a lot for your Sodom tabs.

I never saw him with a mockingbird. But I saw him with a Beast and Ibanez Destroyer.
He also uses a Rhoads now that I've never seen before. It's all black with black faceplate, and has a kahler on it. Any idea what model it is?

In the "Betrayer" video, in some parts he's using a purple RR with a pickguard(like when he runs to go pick it up), EMG-81 in the bridge, no idea what model though.

You're in luck. In the next few weeks, the 2006 KVX10 will be out. It is a bolt-on, alder bodied KV with a double locking trem.

Omfg WHERE? Is it the same model that Zzounds have saying it will be in stock in March 15th? Same with American Musical and Music 123, they all say that the KVX10 is out of production but there's another exact listing in their site saying it will be in stock next week.
I found this pricelist: http://www.fender.com/resources/pri..._Winter2006.pdf
It's true! Double-locking tremolo... So I'll have no trouble installing the OFR from my DXMG as it's an X-series like the KVX10 too(my DXMG's trem was not an OFR stock, so I assume they both have the very same licensed Floyd as they cost exactly the same).
This sounds sweet, now I'll have a KV with an OFR, my dream come true. Guess I'll ditch installing the X2N/PAF Pro into my DXMG, and just sell the guitar with the KVX10's stock bridge. I was starting to think about keeping the DXMG and forcing myself to get used to strats cause I couldn't find a V with a Floyd, but I guess that's no longer the case. Thanks a lot for the info man. Total Death! \m/ Just gotta try any KV in a store and then I'll be set.
I'm going to sell my JS30 Kelly and get me a Kramer Imperial for 150$ too, haha, gonna end up with some much sweeter axes without spending almost any cash at all.

You are welcome. I've been waiting for these to hit stores since they were announced at the winter NAMM. One is definately on my list of things to get. Also, all the "Pro" series will be upgraded with real SD p-ups and active EMG's on all the models that came with HZ's (except for the dxmg).

Yeah I heard that about the Pro series too. But hell I'm happy with a Japanese-made KVX10 even if it is a bolt-on type, I'm not a neckthrough only guy(in fact I've only played 1 neckthrough(Schecter) in my life and 1 set neck(LP), and though I liked the Schecter I don't know if those kinds of necks are my thing, cause I really dislike painted necks, and it would be a crime to sand off the back of an expensive guitar's neck. Bolt-on 4 lyfe.
Pro series only have 22 frets I think, so for me that's a minus right there.

Not really. A lot of the unpainted necks I've played had a satin finish. This made them alot smoother than the sticky, glossy lacquer that is used with a lot of painted necks.

Ok, so correction: I hate lacquered necks. But isn't satin like a smooth black sort of paint? I just like the feel of raw, smooth maple on my hands, no tung oil no finish, nothing. The last 2 guitars I owned I have not even had for 2 days without sanding the neck a little bit to remove that glassy lacquer shit. Hence I wouldn't like to own a painted neck cause I would have to sand it down a whole lot to get through that paint, and I'd feel too guilty about doing that.

I whish Jackson would bring back their old 7 string model. I think it's called the DR7T. I only saw it in blue, it had a reverse headstock and a 7 string tremelo system. They looked awsome.
I also want them to bring back the old Pro series.

"Satin" is a non-shiny sort, like the finish on Epihone LP Goths, they end up shiny after a few months of use though.

Ah I know what you mean. Yeah guess all that human oil and sweat makes that guitar shiny, eww.
Yeah, definately no painted necks for me, and if it's lacquered I'll just sand it a bit(I'll probably never buy an expensive neckthrough until I decide to get a custom that will have no paint on the back, cause I wouldn't feel right sanding the neck of suck an expensive instrument...
Or I could just be a bolt-on/set-neck guy for life, neckthroughs are for pussies.
