Many techniques.
Hey all,
Just looking for a death metal song with heaps of techniques thrown into it.
I know there are obvious choices, like Necrophagist, but Necrophagist being progressive metal, quite a lot of repetition.
Meh, I'm just asking this becuase the next song I learn, I want it to be jampacked with techniques. And I realise, even though I've been listening to death metal for quite a while now, I honestly don't know to many bands .
I would make a checklist of techniques but I find that is quite gay.
I was thinking on the lines of something like Cephalic Carnage, but meh.
I see Death Metal today is very safe, i.e. Not a great deal of experimentation, whereas fields such as Hardcore, or even Jazz Fusion whatever are.
Flame me if you want, but I see as being the truth.
Oh, and by experimentation Im talking genuine creativity, not throwing in a synth and making some weirds noises in the background
ANYWAY, just suggest some songs with heaps of techniques thrown in, maybe even a whammy part, and Ill have a look.
Thanks,
J

uh last I checked as far as "metal" goes hardcore is as about as safe as you could get, nothing new there, pretty redundant as a whole. Don't get me wrong there are a FEW good bands, but experimentation, nah.

Necrophagist progressive? Right..
I'm going to close this for these reasons: 1.) There is a thread for "songs we like to play". Request your totally non-discriptive song questions there. If you find a song that you need particular help with (and hasn't been adequately adressed before) then a new thread is acceptable. 2.) You've made some silly claims that will attract flaming, 3.) Lists aren't "gay". The more specific you are the easier it is for people to help you. You're just being a lazy cunt. 4.) "heaps of techniques" is a pretty ambiguous term. What the fuck exactly do you want to learn? Most all songs have heaps of techniques 5.) If you mean creativity then don't say experimentation.
