as i lie awake at night
trying to forget
for the sake of my sanity
i always come to the conclusion
that i had it all and failed
i remember a time
wanting you more than
i ever thought i could
feeling things
i never thought were real
i remember a time
needing you more than
the air i need
to breathe
i felt so alive
its gone
and this dust never settles
cus your voice is always
blowing in my mind
and every time i go to let go
you smile and im yours again
for the very first time

*sigh* That was so nice. Very melancholy and romantic like a love letter written never to be sent. It's a very common feeling and you handled it bluntly and beautifully. It would make a nice acoustic piece or even something like The Scorpions or The Cure with more music going on.
I have a friend that's feeling just about this way lately.
