Which noise supressor and compressor?

Hi!
Now I,ve got my RAN, i want to bu some rack or pedal that help the guitar sound. I was thinking in a noise gate (i heard the rocktron HUSH is very good), and a compressor.
What do you think? is the roctron any good? And the compressor, wich one do you own/recommend?

P.D: Can someone put a photo of the Bluevodoo.Yesterday I had been`playing an "old" one, but I hevnīt seen the new ones. (I think it was an oldone)
THANK YOU

I have a Boss NS2 and I must say it gets the job done quite nicely. And it can also power your other pedals through a daisy chain, which is pretty sick.

Rocksolidamps sell an ISP decimator pedal(not the rack one) for like 120$; but you can grab an NS2 for 60$.

The new Blue Voodoo's are black and square-ish, very 1960's computer-like. Lol. The old ones have a blue tolex and a less professional look, and have a different voicing(some say its better).

I wouldn't get a compressor less my guitar was suffering from lack of sustain... but you have a Ran.

I've also been trying to decide between the ISP pedal or a Boss NS2 for my ENGL powerball. (The built in noise gate isn't cutting it, it doesn't decay naturally at all and kills my palm muted shit.) So I'm wondering, which would be better at getting rid of the all the crazy feedback I get from my settings (I have my gain, mids, treble, and presence up pretty high), and decay natually enough that I can actually play some palm muted chugs and what not.

right now im using my isp with my cobra, because that is a noisey pile of shit.

i run my ns-2 in front of my powerball, and the powerball's gate barely turned up, like not even half way. that combo has pretty much has the same affect, killing the pre and post preamp noise.

I tried to find something, but there wasnīt anything with octo. Its DEMETER OPTO COMPULATOR. And I think its very difficult to find here in Europe. Do you think is that good to pay the shipping from USA to Europe, or isnīt that good?
Thanks

its good. but in comparison to my powerball, i like the engl alot more. and the cobra is ALOT noisier.

im just getting it loaded with jj e34l's a tung sol reissue 12ax7, and a few jj ecc83s's, on balanced, two high gain graded, and one reg. with a nice rebias. hopefully that should improve the sound and reduce on the noise from the stock eh el34's and chinese crap 12ax7's.

OK. What about the compressors?

P.D: The reason is that I like a lot of sustain (more than my custom neck through RAN)

i'm not down with a compressor and a powerball... that amp is already pretty compressed sounding. i actually put an old nos jan 5751 in v1 just to open it up a bit.
