Crate GTX212 Good?
There is a used crate gtx212 at the guitar store for 299. Should I get it? I'm just bedroom jamming right now with a jackson soloist with emg 85 in the bridge and emg H(passive) in the neck. That amp sounded great to me. Just looking for opinions on this or if anyone has one. Thanks
By the way, I'll be trading in my line-6 30 watt w/12in. celestion for it. Will I be sorry? I know the crate doesn't have celestions but it sounded better to me although I only played for about 5-10min.

i have that amp and it sucks..hopefully, i have a PodXT and bypass that GT212 shitty preamp.

hmm. well I brought this amp home today. I got it for $220 and I figured I can take in back in 30 days if I decide it's not that great. I think the distorion is good with the gain and the shape maxed out but any other way it really doesn't sound too good, so okay maybe that means its not a good amp? Anyways, the distortion is a lot better than my old Line 6 but should I get an overdrive or distortion pedal to make it even heavier? I'm not really familiar with pedals yet. I want paint to peel off walls.   |

Ehhhhh no way, that amp has plenty of gain. Maxing out the shape completly takes out mids, i think it sounds better with less shape, and that channel has a lot of gain. |

2) you pay what you get = there is no 300$ amp which sounds like an 3000$ amp
3) if you want people without any comepetence to help you out with undetailed reviews go harmony central and dont ask forums

its a decent amp. I like crates SS stuff. Fuck i like almost all crates. I'm getting a blue voodoo soon. i already have the shockwave and my little cousin has your amp. I like it.
