Ok, let me refine the topic (and possibly translate it into Chinese, too):
1) Does anyone think it's an inherrently poor amp and I should try to return it to the store?
2) Can anyone with some experience or knowledge of this amp give me a second opinion on it's quality?

could have just been a bum amp man, was it a floor model? if so people probably fucked with it. if it happens again, then get your money back and get another amp
