PA system help.

Okay, so me and the rest of my band are sick of not having a PA system for practice. (We don't currently have a vocalist, but I believe we are going to get one soon, or one of us is just going to fill in on vocals untill then). I don't exactly know our budget, but we just need somthing that sounds decent, and that we can use for vocals (Probably just two mics for vocals) and a kick drum mic. I have no knowledge about any of this stuff, so if anyone could recommend some decent equipment for what we need, that would be fantastic. Thanks in advance and sorry if any of this is confusing.

One little mixer with minimum 3 mic inputs minimum (I'd get one with even more.. like 8 minimum ),a poweramp (dont know how many watts is needed, but the more the better), and 2 top speakers(horn and a bass speaker) would do, and if you really wanna mic up the kickdrum and have a powerfull kickdrum feel, add a subwoofer, but I seriously think it's unnecesery as it will cost more, because along with the subwoofer you will need another device which I dont know the name of to split up the frequencies to the subwoofer and the top speakers

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. Any recomendations for any specific mixers, poweramps, speakers, etc? I kinda just wanna get a idea of how much my band needs to save up. Like, for instance, for around a grand could we get something decent for our needs? I'll check out some websites and review, and if anyone has any specific suggestions, that would rule. Thanks again.

if you can get two speakers like with 15s and a horn on top you shouldnt really need the sub. you may want to try a powered mixer; its less to haul. theres no good reason not to use a little behringer mixer. the speakers are what you'll most likely need to and will sped the most money on.
