Guess who's got GAS...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...item=7392395645
Feggits.
Yeah, in spite of me looking for a 2ndary knockaround guitar, I came across this beuty with an ORIGINAL FLOYD going for a lot less than the brand-new price.
So I nabbed it. I've yet to sell my NJ Ironbird(with a Dimarzio Tonezone) though. Gotta take some pics and eBayzorz it up or post it in the classifieds. Anyone interested?
Anyway, I'm aware that the EMG-HZ's are ass, but Ill rip em out and sell them for dirt and get just one bridge PU and maybe a neck PU, but that will be later.
I hear the HZ's have the same connection shit thing that the regular EMGs have. Does that mean all I have to do is directly replace the pups only or is more electrical bullshit required to get the actives to work on it? Cause I might just get an 81 if I don't go passive on this guitar(probably will).
Congratulate me.

Where does it say it has an Original Floyd Rose?
Or did you just link to that auction for the hell of it?
I'm confused.
I'd have your Ironbird except I don't live in the US and I can't afford it. there are some guitar shapes I will own before I die, and the Ironbird is one of them.

Hehe, true, as soon as I saw it had an OFR, and sold for 450 new I knew it wasn't going to be long before someone grabbed it so I got it.
Can't wait to play it. This guitar is going to make my other Jackson(JS30) my knockaround guitar, the opposite of what I was planning to do with it. :P

Then fuck it, I'll go passive. :P I'll probably get a X2N/PAF on this one too, a simply cause I'd love the looks of a white X2N in the bridge and maybe a black/white or white PAF pro in the neck. But I'm tempted to try other pups though, cause that's the same setup in my other Jackson too.

I have a DXMG too, very solid guitar, I upgraded mine to active EMGS and I had no trouble finding room for the battery, you won't either, in fact you can probably fit 2 or 3 9v batteries in the controls before you start running out of room. Have fun with it, it's a nice axe!
