what kind of amp do you have? i have played the ampeg and it sounded soo nice but i was also playing a warwick thumb through an svt4 pro head

Definately try them both out, i'd say the SWR has more of a cleaner slap tone than the ampeg, but there both very good powering rigs.

currently im running a GK410 blx out of a peavey tko115...(quite embarrasing at gigs)
and i have tried both of them and they sounded amazing, but i need to know which will last longer and be better in the long run because i have a combo amp and no head, so thats another thousand dollar investment,and if im spending close to 3k dollars i want it to atleast last 5 or 10 years
of course the salesman said to get the swr because its 1600 but i dont trust his "logic"
