HELP

What are some good amp distortion boosters...
i need something that will boost the gain and eq of my amp....
i am thinking of getting a eq pedal maybe a boss one...
but i dont know what to get for the distortion boost...
does this work on solid state amps....
my amps distortion is good but not good enough if you know what i mean...
any one know any good boost pedals???

i think thats what i am looking for...

but does it boost the gain?

i have a maxon od808. probably my favorite booster(tied with the proco rat)

but the maxon is a very transparent pedal, it will tighten up the sound(reduce some lows and add mids) while adding a little gain.

The MXR 10 band EQ is a great booster

It will boost the signal.Get a rat,tubescreamer/Maxon,ect to boost the gain.

i just need to know before i buy
i want a nice heavy iced earth type of tone....

You would like something like this to run infront of your clean channel.It will sound better than any boost you put infront of your amp.
