2/13/2006 - MEGADETH still schedualed for Desert Rock

- Megadeth mainman, Dave Mustaine, has confirmed the addition of former BLACK LABEL SOCIETY bass player, James Lamenzo into the fold. Mustaine also confirmed that the band will still be heading to Dubai to play the Dubai Desert Rock 2006 festival.
Desert Rock 2006 will mark Lamenzo's first ever performance with Megadeth.

CSM, The organizers of the Dubai Desert Rock festival have officially announced the bands playing the show this year, they are as follows;
SAXON:The legendary 'NWOBHM' Band that pioneered the rock scene for over 3 decades. This will mark Saxons FIRST appearance in the Middle East.
TESTAMENT: Pure and original in the flesh! The bay area thrashers hailing from North America will feature non other than its classic members - Chuck Billy on vocals, Alex Skolnick on lead guitar, Eric Peterson on Guitar, Craig Christian on bass and fill-in drummer John Tempesta (ex-Exodus, White Zombie, Helmet) on drums.
3 DOORS DOWN: The hit driven band that are widely known for songs such as 'Kryptonite','Here without you', and 'Loser' to name a few.

reel big fish..highlight of da nite 4 me..was a shitload of fun in the skank pit..first it was lyk onli a few of us..den evry1 was skankin thruout the whole set..was bloody awesome..but at the end of the skank pit..my hair was all white..and i lookd lyk a zombie..coz of da sand on my fave..knda scared myself actually..
3 doors down..pretty gud..screamed along to kryptonite..den..i felt lyk throwin up..nt coz da music was shit..i jst had a big lunch and i skankd 2 mch..so i sat dwn thru da rest of da set..but da songs wer pretty boring anyway..then evry1 forced me up for here without u..3 doors down..pretty gud performance..
and finally..i was fine..luckily enuf..for da best performance of da nite
MEGADETH!..i was hopin dey wud play 2 of my fav songs of ders..skin o' my teeth and symphony of destruction..and dey did..ACE performance..mustaine was rockin..and evry1 seemed 2 love it..dey evn came out and playd an encore song coz we kept screamin 'we want more!'...den the threw guitar picks in2 da crowd..unfortunately it was onli thru da middle section of da crowd..[i was out left]..
