Power amp problem

I changed the tubes in my peavey classic 60/60 last week, I used it throughout the week a couple of times but it didnt really seem very loud I have been told it will need biasing to increase the volume a little but a friend of mine told me that wont make a difference. does anybody know if this is true?

but anyways my main problem is the other night my friend turned the amp off at the power whilst the standby was still on and now when I turn it on the tubes dont even glow and I have no idea whats wrong, can anybody help?

many thanks!

as far as I know, Poweramp tubes should be re-biased once you have replaced the old one's. Take it to a tech.
