Pickup wiring setup...

I have a 2 humbucker guitar with 1 vol and 1 tone with a 3-way switch. I want to install an X2N/PAF Pro combo on that, but I'm fearing that if I don't throw in a seperate vol knob for each pickup it may not sound good. Is it possible to wire 2 humbuckers with 2 vol pots and no tone control? I don't want to drill a hole in my guitar, I'd much rather keep it as it is. But I want volume control for both pickups, as with my experience, using 2 HB's at once if you don't roll off a bit on the neck pickup it will not sound too great.

http://guitarelectronics.zoovy.com/...pickupdiagrams/

I checked there but there's no "2 volume, no tone" diagram.

What should I do? Does anyone else have the same pickup setup and not use a seperate volume knob?

Wrong forum. No pickups in the guitar zone.

I just finished installing a X2N/PAFpro combo on my guitar. It sounds good with just one volume. Not too much drop across to the paf.

Don't the pinch harmonics sound drowned out? I just want to be able to have more control over the sound with 2 vol pots, is it possible?

A tone knob only takes away, it doesnt add. When your tone knob is at max, that is the normal tone. When you roll back on it you are just taking away.

So without a tone knob, you'll just have the same tone as having the knob on max(normal tone).

This site has a huge wealth of info and teaches you how to wire if you dont already know: http://www.guitarnucleus.com/schems.html

Thanks, but that site doesn't tell me how to wire 2 vol's and no tone pots. That's all I need to know, it seems to be an unpopular setup.
