Trem system question

Is it possible to install a floyd rose(or any other for that matter) trem system in a guitar with a String-Thru bridge. for example a Schecter Omen 6?

Totally possible, but the question is are you willing to: a) pay to have in routed and installed or b) invest the time to do it yourself.

3 billion dollars!!!!...i don't know but I'd suggest doing it yourself. You know how great of a feeling you get when you accomplish something yourself? Imagine telling your friends "yeah I installed a floyd rose on my guitar and did all the routing and shit." Besides saving you money (probably) you learn from it and saved more and more money each time..another example would be changing strings or learning to install a pickup...hmmm Ted Brown (some local music store) like $150 bucks to install a pickup not including buying it...installed at home with 15 bucks for solder + time? way cheaper...yeah

It would cost the same much as having someone route a hole in your guitar big enough to accomodate a floyd rose Trem and the cavity in the back for the springs.

Its not worth the effort dude. Buy a new guitar

Routing out a floyd is very difficult. It has to be perfectly straight otherwise you end up installinge the bridge crooked. I would let a tech do it and just ask if you can watch how he does it.

Try getting a Kahler trem system. They are a LOT easier to install and are an all around better system. They also don't cost as much as Floyds.

check it:

thakns alot guys... I'll check out the kahler trem, my dad had one put in his gibson a while back so I know its pretty good... I would never be able to do it myself though... I have no clue where to start or anything and I'm afraid I would fuck up my guitar.
