Pickup "Direction"?

Okay,

Dumb question, but what way do I face the bridge pickup to install? What way should the neck pickup face? Can someone clarify this plz? Thanks!

Okay,

I have a X2N. What way should it face when I'm setting it in the cavity? Does it really matter what way is facing forward? Right now, I'm just following the natural flow of the wire coming off the back... Not sure if that's correct or not. Also the same with the neck pickup... Do the lettering on pickups help determine what way they should face? Should they read bridge up, or up to the bridge (if that makes any sense)?

It really doesn't matter tonewise. My X2N is "upside down" too. Otherwise the wire coming out of the pickup isn't long enough.

i thought since the X2N has bar pole pieces it doesnt matter. just like you put the emg h4 for neck and bridge in the exact same position

The bar poles COULD each be calibrated differently.Though, they should make it more obvious what way they should go.

doesnt it matter which way the current is going... like clockwise or counter clockwise... in relation to the neck pickup... because my friend has 2 single coil pickups coiled opposite of eachother so that they act like a humbucker and quiet down a whole lot when he turns both of them on...

now... if you think of a humbucker... it has current going both ways... but wouldn't the inside coil be able to affect the neck pickup? just a thought...
