Play it before you buy it.
I looked at a black RG one day, thought i might buy it. Someone got it before me so I looked at a blue one. Guess what? It sucked ASS. Neck joint was loose, and it made a weird ringing noise when i stopped playing.
I'd look into Jackson Dinkys and Soloists if you want a great sound and that body style. Besides, the Jackson headstocks own

$900 is kinda high for that, For that amount of money you can get a much nicer guitar. I dont have anything against Ibanez i own onw myself, i just dont think a single model they make is worth over $500.

sorry im not into brand loyalist. a good guitar is a good guitar. Also, as far as I have experience and from what ive heard from other players Ibanez makes some of the best necks out there.
Also, does anyone have an opinion on this guitar? Im not looking for people who have the cheaper version, or played the cheaper version. im wondering about this specific guitar.

I keep recomending Maverick Guitars, especially for those who have some illogical sworn allegiance to both Ibanez and Jackson...

Definately worth playing and see how you like them. Check out the F-1 in particular. You'll get a good axe at a reasonable price, as well as good customer support and feedback. Everything about the guitars (now anyway, the older models have a few problems) is great for a diverse range of styles, but inparticular metal. You won't need to change the pickups for a start.

They're relatively new, when I bought mine about four years ago they were still pretty unestablished. Since then, however, the quality of the models has significantly increased. My guitar is labelled as the 46th F-1 built. The newer version rectifies certain problems the older models (such as mine) have, for example imrpovements on the bridge and wiring in general.
-I got mine at a reasonable price, part-exchanging a horrible Epiphone Custom Les Paul I had along with £150. The LP was white with vine inlays, it looked nice but just didn't suit me, and more importantly it played naff IMO. It cost me £200, which I bought from an internet website advertising it.
I don't work for this company or have any contact with them (though one day if I did get a successful band, due to their size I think possibilities of a signiture model could be quite realistic) just I like to point out these guitars for those who dearly love Jackson and Ibanez as a brand to consider instead.
From the website it appears they're mianly in the UK, have any of you other people from overseas experienced these guitars?
