Really cheap 'custom' guitars on ebay

hey all, just wanna get your opinions on what you think of a few guitars on ebay ....

Alder, Rosewood, - not bad - considering most electrics are going for $200 <

The special thing here is that all these have beautiful inlays that really spice up the guitar.

The downside is the pickups - but they are humbucking, so do you guys think a set of EMGS would make these unique guitars shred???

Heres a few links, some of the auctions are still in progress:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SOLIDWOOD-6-...1QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI...item=7376504294

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/INLAID-SOLID...1QQcmdZViewItem

As you can see, Im sure any guitar would be good for prices like this - Im especially interested in the 7 string....

Some feedback mentions "looks better than it plays" but EMG's could do the trick right. . . .

John R.

EDIT: those links are auctions, items in his shop are going for maybe 100 - 150 more than auction price.

I'd get the 7 string for the sole reason that it's a 7-string body with a Floyd Rose route, but you might want to swap out the neck if it's shitty.

I'm sure you can get some good 7-strings from reputable manufacturers for a little more than that. I hear Cort 7-strings aren't bad, and they're quite cheap.

And when you get your guitar it will most probably be in 2-5 pieces

hmm, for me shippingis only $85 (Australia) and his feedback is quite good. I see why a solid alder body would have problems... i think ill get it. Thanks for your opinions.

EMG's might improve the sound of the guitar but as far as playability goes it would do nothing pretty much.
