5150 Cabinet....
ARe they any good...cause i have one on layaway..but it comes with a head...
its pretty cool...descent guitar tone...better than most solidstate...its a peavey.superpower 100....and its all costing me $700 so you guys think its a good deal

i think you could do better getting used from ebay or classifieds.
you can get a nice tube setup with 700

700 is way to much.
you can pick up a used 5150 cab for like $200-$300

Key word: USED!! You never know how people handle them.
It's best just to get a new one (as far as amps go). But that's IMO.
But yeah 5150s are great amps. I got the head. A buddy of mine has the cabinet and runs a Marshall TSL 100 Head through the cab. It sounds fucking wicked. Really sharp.

thats just silly. if there is something wrong with a used cab you'll be able to see it. it's a big wood box, with speakers and wiring.
the only things you have to be concerned about. are the speakers what they should be? i.e. in a 1960a, did the guy pop out his g12t-75's and put in the shitty old ones from his crate combos? and that's easy to work around really.
other than that, there might be some dings, ripped tolex, and sqeaky casters. which, hey, i'm willing to put up with for the insane amount of money you'll save.
a new 6505 cab(same exact cab, different logo) is only like $640
so you can be a sucker and pay full price for a new cab, i'll just pay under half that for a perfectly good used one.
i've been in the used gear business for years. it's safe as long as you're not an idiot.

the amp sounds great on that cab...i played it ...and it sounded great...
but i think $700 used stuff...in great condintion...looks new no scratches or nothing like that...
sounds great...
i seen lots of new amps at that price and those not even compare to the stack i am getting so its cool...
