ohla suckas! this is a thread dedicated to sweep picking. the most beutiful thing you can do in all of metal. in this thread i will show you tekniek.(spell check). now from what ive heard, people have problems sweep picking because: they do not match the movement of thier pick hand with thier fretting hand, or vice-versa. or they cant get thier fingers to go back to the original fret from witch they started the sweep. here i will show you how to sweep like a master! ok the first thing you need to do is warm up. hold your pick loosely and just graze it across all the strings up and down up and down as lightly as you can. after youve done that a couple of times put the tip of your middle finger on the 12th fret on the E string and as you go down with the pick hand move the rest of your finger and hit the rest of the strings as soon as the pick has reached that string then go back down. if you did it right then your wrist should go in and out. and to quiet any ringing strings use the edge of your thumb on the way back down and drag it across the strings. repeat as many times as nessicary. let me show you what i mean

start off very slowly then go faster. keep practicing this untill you can do it good. warning! learn this when no people are around otherwise you'll look like an idiot. i'll get into advanced tequ. later. like the title says."made easy" this is the most simple and effective way of acheiving this sound...good luck!!!
