Broken Guitar strings

Hey there everyone

I was wondering if everyone else out there keeps breaking the same string over and over again. I keep breaking the top string.

I think youve got the wrong forum, this isnt the guitar zone!

If you were meaning to post it here in the Bass zone then..

Theres either something wrong your plucking technique, either your doing it too harshly or typewriter style.. or your saddles have Burr's in then, sharp edges which is digging into your string everytime it vibrates, which is leading it to break.. unwind or completely snap??

I've broken many strings..not recently though...do to playing to hard..I once broke a D string slap/popping Beat It..

I once broke the E string by trying to tune up. Wasn't my bass though.
