I heard they sound pretty good in combo with a boost pedal. Maxon od 808 for example. Never played one though

A boost pedal helps with squeals for example right?... I've sort of been meaning to check them out....

They just help to add more gain altogether. So yes it would also help with pinch harmonics but not just for those inparticular.

Have the Valveking's even hit the e-bay market yet? If so, Travis, you might be able to pick up a Valveking in great condition for maybe 300$ or so, and that's something I myself would choose in that price range.
