Top 3 hardest BASS songs you can play
yeah, i totally stole this from the guitar forum (sorry defiant mind!) just took it for the good of ressurrecting the bass forum (its practically empty these days....)
Me off the top of my head:
Dream Theater - The dance of eternity (not the ENTIRE thing but most of it)
Rush - YYZ
maybe for my 3rd.... Rush - The Spirit of Radio or La Villa Strangiato
i so wish i could play execration text by nile......

I find that a lot of the harder stuff I play is actually pieces that I write.

+1,
I will think of the list though.
I think 'Spain' by Chick Corea is one of the moderately hard fingerstyle pieces i can play, just the rhythm phrasing in some of the breaks..

So how do the difficulties of the songs that you guys have posted compare to The Dance of Eternity? Most of these songs i havent ever heard of. I know it all depends on what youre good at but please give me an estimate. i suck a slapping/popping, and probably tapping since i barely ever do it. but i do have the medium strings so theyre fine for tapping.

I hear Freebird is one of the harder bass guitar songs you can learn, from what I can tell it seems pretty challenging..... Anyone wanna say something about this? And where did you guys get the bass tab for Veil of Maya?
