My paper due friday PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!!
Oh, I'm not even sure I should bother asking but here goes......
I'm writing a paper on just the first phrase of the piano sonate op. 1 by Alban Berg. http://web2.unt.edu/dschwarz/index....formandanalysis

By the way, the opening phrase ends with the low B-F#-B in the bass of measure 3, at 11 seconds.
I need a thesis that takes a point of view of how the phrase sounds and how it is structured. So far, I'm going to try and relate it to post-tonal theory, because it's mainly irregular structured with tons of chromatics. Hell, it's a 3 measure phrase, not the standard 18th century 4-8-12 measure phrases--though some have had 7 measured ones......
Any suggestions on how I go about explaining its relation? EDIT: I asked the doc this morning in class and he said that the mod 12 shit is actually the right direction I should take.....so John...  ?

Yeah, cause I headbang while I do, and I can't really "Jump" (haha ) like VanHalen in a dorm room, so I just walk back and forth....haha a couple days ago I was jumping up and down on my bed, with my pants down and my roommate came in when I wasn't looking, hahaha.
