About Pedals..
Hey,
I was wondering...Does a Distortion pedal also act as a footswitch for clean/distortion channels on an amp? Because i only have a shitty 15watt practice amp and it dont come with a footswitch , so it gets kind of annoying having to play clean stuff and then switch back to distortion.
And also .. What does a Chorus , Flanger pedal do?

Ok,a distortion pedal wont change channels on your amp,but you can use in a similar way.For example, put the pedal on the clean channel, and when the pedal is on,its the 'dirty' channel, and when its off its the clean channel so to speak. So yes,you can use it that way.
Chorus and Flangers are similar modulation effects, both with a kind of swirlling, underwater kind of sound.Search them on www.musiciansfriend.com,they have heaps of sound samples and can give you an idea of what the effects sound like.

well basically the pedal wont switch CHANNELS on the amp, it'll mainly overdrive your clean channel to the point of distorting.
So yeah you got that already >_> but if you were to EQ anything you'd EQ on your amp's clean channel rather than the distorted
Unless you're using it as a boost...
