I know you guys hate threads like this... but how the FUCK does Wormed get such a muddy overdistorted tone? I know that they use marshalls and peavey 5150's... and i think they might have a mesa boogie in there somewhere... but still... how could they push out a sound like that?

too much lows and gain?

I can make a shitty tone with any amp.The trick is not too.

Haha! I've attempted to get their tone too. Basically use muddy high gain pickups(not EMGs), scoop a little, and cut off some highs. The gain should be inconceivably massive, so be prepared to crank your amp's gain AND use a fuzzbox. The production also has a lot to do with their sound.

the guy uses 1 emg in the bridge, but i dont know which one, and i think he dummies his neck pickup. =/

mmmm fuzzbox... i want to invest... any reccomendations for fuzz?
