A detailed dream last night.

"Walking the Dog"

He and I were strolling the sidewalk
At a comfortable pace, talking about the future.
My fingers dangled against her fur.
It was a perfect scenerio.
Discussing the next one's prospects--
Which we knew would be soon.

I'd felt her like I can feel my own skin.
I saw the light in her brown eyes.
Felt her panting breath while she walked at my side.
She slipped from my touch when she trotted ahead.
She was grinning her grin as she turned
To make sure her people were still there,
But when I looked away smiling and looked back again--
She was gone.
My smile changed
And my fingers that had touched her fur moments ago
Drew painfully closed.

I awoke from my dream heavy hearted
And once again she was gone

Hmm.. I'm not sure what to make out of that. Intresting none the less. Sounds kinda like some dreams i have. (in ways)

I actually wrote alot about dreams in the cd i finished. Along with that alot of the psychoanalytic aproach at looking at them. concious, subconcious.. Ego, Super ego, and Id.

Just preserving a dream I had the other night I had about my husband and I walking the dog I had to have put down in November. It was so bittersweet I wanted to preserve the memory.
There's no mystery or metaphor in this one. Just therapy for me.

it's not really mysterious, more like 'pretty obvious'. it's good though, pretty heavy hearted stuff. somehow that allways looks/feels better. maybe that's just me.
