Dean Markley 'Blue Steel' strings?

Hi All,
Firstly, I've rooted through google and the existing threads on this forum as I knew similar questions existed.

I'm looking to buy guitar strings, though could do with some basic explanations to questions that I don't seem to havethe patience to figure out without direction...

I'm thinking of getting some of these mythical Dean Markley BlueSteel strings, though I don't know whatguage as I've never really bothered to pick up on what the 'normal guages' are of strings. My axe has a floyd system and is tuned to C#, though the springs in it can compensate for any string. I'm after some thick strings so would this be a range of 11-52?

Anyone have any experience with these 'blue steel' strings? Thinking I can maybe get better definition in my lower notes especially in faster pedal style riffage...

Cheers for any help, apologies in advance if this is a void thread

Blue steel strings are good sounding stings. And for C# tuning 11-52 is perfect.

Yep, I have that very same set in C# and it's tight as fuck. Very good strings. As for definition... they are ok, but Earnie Balls sound much brighter their first 2 weeks of use. I think you should get some dean markley Nickelsteels, the regular ones, they're pretty good too.

Cheersfor the responses,
Yeah I've been using the 'normal' Dean Markleys for a couple of years now and havn't had any problems other than the strings I'm using sometimes don't seem rigid enough especially for runs accross more than three strings or so. Wasn't too sure whatguages I had, beyond common terms like 'guage 10' but I'm going to try and get some of those you suggest thanks!
