POD or V-amp?

I'm gonna be having my 5150 soon. Since the cleans aren't very great on it, and I could also use some effects, I've been thinking about using like either the pod or the v-amp with it, I'm looking at the rackmountable ones for both. I just basically need it for the clean tones, some effects (all I really use are like reverb, chorus, and delay, so not that much really), and for recording on the computer. So I'm sure the POD is probably better, but how much better? I don't need anything insanely good or anything, just decent to good sound quality.

If you get a Pod get a Pod XT.

Pods have proven to be useful with 5150's,can set up MIDI switching pretty easily. The V- Amp does a similar job, doesnt sound near as good, not too reliable, but is much cheaper.

POD xt's have the best sounding distortion to my ears. If you find one of these, get it.

I have a V-Amp and all I can say is the effects are great, but the cleans are definitely not as good as the POD's. And as the others have said, get the Pro definitely.

If you want just reverb, chorus and delay, i'd suggest the Alesis Quadraverb. Its a 1U rack size, MIDI controllable, and i think its got a great sound to it- you can customise the effects to exactly what you want
