Soon enough you will find out that your amp is pure shit and be begging people to take it as well. I can garuntee almost everyone here bashing them has played one and then found out it really was a rather shitty amp.

alright.... the amp really is pretty good, you just have to spend a ton of time fucking with the nobs to get it to sound right. i use the metal setting with the red light and play a boss ds-1 over it. i fucked with it for a bit, and it sounds truly amazing. I have played some high gain tube amps (mesa, marshall, etc) and to be honest my setup sounds just as good.... and it doesnt have the hum and noise of a tube amp. if you dont belive me then try it and see for yourself before you talk any more shit and give bad advise by telling someone to go buy a $3000 amp when they can have just as good of a sound by spending $700 on a spider 2 half stack.
fuckin equipment snobs.

I truly am interested to hear this anomoly among spider II's that you seem to own. That seemingly sounds just as good as a mesa. If you wouldn't mind posting some videos and/or sound clips of this I would be more than willing to hear this.

I played with one (Spider II 2x12) that a friend of mine got during a trade for owed money to him. He was trying to sell it to me for $150. I only played around with it for about 2 hours but I wasn't impressed. Not to say that it can't get a good tone with time but the amp just didn't have what I liked. I love most SS amps but this one was missing something in its sound. Maybe I just didn't mess with it long enough but it seemed pretty strait forward with its functions and I still never got any tone that blew my mind.

Well I actually am happy with my Spider. At least it eliminated those pesky Chupacabras.

Prehaps I would, but I will not know anytime soon so I'll take your word on it in the future. My GT-8 could work wonders on it if I ever get to try one agian.
